On April 15, 2023, Luo's company organized its annual Thanksgiving event for senior employees in Haian Rongheng and Yixin Garden.
02 Annual Thanksgiving Event for Senior Employees
First, everyone visited the memorial hall of Wei Jiangong, the "father of Xinhua Dictionary." Through the讲解人员讲解, we learned that Wei Jiangong was a linguist and educator from Haian. In 1950, he became the president of Xinhua Dictionary Publishing House, presided over the editing of the Xinhua Dictionary, and participated in its revisions many times. He was known as the "father of Xinhua Dictionary." Mr. Wei Jiangong used language and writing as tools, took the improvement of national cultural quality as his responsibility, and made great contributions to the standardization and globalization of the Chinese language and characters.
03 Annual Thanksgiving Event for Senior Employees
On the day of the event, colleagues who loved fishing came to the fish pond early, eager to try their skills. They carefully selected their fishing spots, set up their fishing rods, adjusted the floats, made bait, put on bait, cast their lines… Their movements were so skillful. After everything was ready, the anglers excitedly engaged in "battle," hoping for a bountiful catch.
Annual Thanksgiving Event for Senior Employees
Meanwhile, in another courtyard, colleagues set up barbecues, laid out tablecloths, and brought out the food and barbecue tools carefully prepared by the company for this event. Employees came and went, the aroma of barbecue filled the air, and the delicious food was irresistible. Some colleagues also gave some barbecue to the fishing employees, sharing this unique delicacy together. In the courtyard, employees tasted the food they had grilled themselves, chatting and laughing, each with a happy smile, and their joyful laughter echoed throughout the courtyard.
Annual Thanksgiving Event for Senior Employees
One barbecue expert after another was online the whole time, setting up, lighting the fire, arranging the ingredients, and applying oil… Their barbecue skills were comparable to professional barbecue chefs, earning them everyone's praise.
Annual Thanksgiving Event for Senior Employees
A meal without playing cards is like a meal without food. How can we miss playing cards during such leisure time!
In addition to the garden tour, barbecue, and fishing, the company also prepared a sumptuous lunch for everyone.
